Diffusion of the TV, Internet, and Social Media into our Culture
The TV came into the lives of people at a rapid rate after World War II. Many Americans and Britains began to attain more televisions. Beginning in the U.S. then Europe, and then to other developing countries, the TV distribution helped for diffusion of pop culture and more popular topics to become easy to accept, and the differences between regions lessened as many began to take the same shape and ideas. The picture below shows the diffusion of TV over the years, while being distributed to many countries.

Following the foot steps of the TV, internet and social media became very popular very quickly. Diffusion into the society was fairly easy, that it was even more rapid than the TV. Many popular applications have came out from this such as Twitter, Myspace, Facebook, Youtube, and Tumblr. Only being popular in the U.S. they are widely known and used by everyone around the world. It is known that in 2011, 77% of the U.S. had access to the internet when accounted for 10% of the Worlds access. In the image below you can see the percentage of people using the internet in 2008.
