New Urbanism is the urban design movemnt which promotes eniornmentally friendly habits by creating walkable neighborhoods containing a wide range of housing and jobs.

           New urbanists are focused on having placemaking and public space a high priority, designs are holistic, reclaiming underutilized and neglected places is a special focus of New Urban design and building, and creating areas that allow for sustainable, human-scaled places where people can live healthy and happy lives.
