
Language Distribution
Two of the largest language families include the Indo-European family, and the Sino-Tibetan family. The Indo-European family has about 445 different languages, with more than 3 billion speakers world wide, and is spilt among 10 branches. These languages are spoken on all inhabitated continents. The main languages spoken aren: English, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, German, Bengali, and Punjabi. They are found in North/South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and South Africa. The Sino-Tibetan family has 400+ languages, and is the second largest next to the Indo-European family. Most prodominant in East Asia, South East Asia, and South Asia. It is split into to main branches Tibeto-Burman, and Sinitic. Main languages spoken are Chinese, Burmese, and Tibetic language.
